Great, delicious, well prepared food with FLAVOR! Even though very crowded and busy when we were there last week the service was friendly helpful and well timed. I would highly recommend this restaurant .

If you want a lighter dinner, hit their happy hour from 4-7 each day (and extended hrs on Sun and Thur). All appetizers are $6 ea., so you can try a few things. The burger is also on the HH menu and big. Sitting outside on the patio is a nice plus!

Every time were in the Desert we carve out an evening at Sullivan's. Food is delicious, atmosphere is inviting, drinks are superb, staff is first rate, and prices are realistic. Just had the aged New York ($42): tender, juicy, flavorful. Daughter had the Crusted Sea Bass (low - mid $30's) cooked to perfection, excellent. Other Daughter had the Petite Filet ($36) tender, juicy, top notch. Nice evening. I knocked off one point because the wines by the glass, although reasonably priced ($9 for the House Merlot and House Cab) could have been more creative. Just so-so.
We'll be back.

We noticed this restaurant last year when we were dining out during our stay in Palm Desert. It seemed very crowded which intrigued us. We came to the conclusion that the next time we are in Palm Desert we would try this place. Well, this time we were in Palm Desert for a Tennis Tournament and made reservations ahead of time since we anticipated that weekend being busy. We are so glad we did. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated right away. The bar area was lively and noisy, and the hostess at the front door explained that there was a happy hour special with reduced prices on food and drinks. We were glad that the area we sat at was quieter for our dining experience. Our waiter "Juan" appeared quickly and was perfect in every way. He seemed to appear at our table at just the right time without being obtrusive. He was most helpful in answering our questions about menu selection. We were even greeted by the restaurants general manager who wanted to make sure everything was to our liking.

It is pricey, but that is expected when dining at an establishment such as this one. The meal is worth every penny.

The food was terrific. There are many appetizing choices on Sullivan's menu. It will tempt us to return. We enjoyed the fresh eastern oysters for our appetizer. The steak was seasoned nicely and cooked to our specifications. Tender and juicy. We enjoyed the Madeira Mushroom sauce that accompanied it. Juan recommended a nice spinach salad with bacon dressing that turned out to be wonderful. I would say that the only disappointment was the asparagus with hollandaise which seemed thin.
We shared their banana bread pudding which was recommended during our conversation with the general manager (sorry I missed her name).

We have dined at fine steakhouses, and although we are partial to The Palm Restaurants in LA and Vegas, we will definitely return to Sullivan's when in Palm Desert.
