“Good hike!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

What a great view! Hike early, carry water, wear good shoes and watch out for snakes! We saw a HUGE iguana-type lizard. You can hike for miles, or cut it short.

“Hike? I ride up it....”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Yes - the Mountain Bike ride starts with a short-but-brutal, 20% grade ascent. Get past the switchbacks and recover your breath with brief rolling terrain, before it gets even STEEPER again! The views are nice and inspiring...so take it all in, while you can.

Why ride up it? Because I shed 2 pounds of pure body fat a week, doing so. But the REAL REASON I ride it is for the sweet downhill reward!

“Hot, Hot, Hot!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

Started this trail a little late. 8:30 AM. Lot's of folks on the down trail. That was a big clue. Nonetheless, stuck it out in the blasting desert sun with my sister (50) and young niece (16) and got a good workout. Sweat, sweat, sweat. Nice views of the valley, but no shade. Sidebar note: several really tan joggers on the trail. Making it look easy....

“Oy, I'm sore!”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

This is a great trail, quite challenging. There is no shade so be sure to bring some water with you. At the top you have a great view of the Coachella Valley. You can jog it, you can walk it, depending on your fitness level. Bring hat, sunglasses and SPF 80!

“Nice hike good views”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

This is a fun hike. Palm Desert has a ton of good hiking trails that are all connected. You can start from a number of different places and connect up to other trails and views. Bring lots of water anytime of year. It is dry and usually hot.
