“Very Pleasant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

I stayed here two nights on business in a premium room. The room was great, spacious and well furnished. Everything was clean and in virtually new condition. The grounds are quite attractive. Only complaint is the $15 parking charge, which is of course mandatory but not properly disclosed on booking. I would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: I was in building two, which is I think the best location if you like quiet.

The Westin Desert Willow Villas were absolutely stunning! I stayed here on a weeekend get-a-way/ early birthday celebration with a group of friends and the entire stay was amazing! These villas were set-up a bit weird though, almost as if this property use to be like some apartment/condo complex. Either way though they were very nice and it comes with a full kitchen and a breathtaking balcony view of the mountains with snow sealed the deal. We had 2 connecting suites which ended up working out perfectly! I would recomment this property to anybody that is looking for a fantastic weekend get-a-way with friends or even family! If you are lucky you may even be able to spot some wildlife as we had a bunch of bunnies outside of the balcony!

Room Tip: Building 4 was awesome on the 4th Floor! Amazing views of the mountains!

This resort is a wonderful place to stay! Just make sure you get into building one or two until the construction is finsihed with the new buildings. The previous reviews of dark units because of the way the building is facing is true. Our unit was a one bedroom premium and our balcony faced the golf course, which was beautiful. It was ready when we got there and then we were even allowed to go and check it out before we committed to it. Our other option was in building four, but construction was going on outside of the balcony. The check in staff was wonderful. Inside the unit is what we have become accustomed to with all the other Westin properties. Everything was clean and in working condition. The pool was great, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, one pool for adults and another one for kids. At nights we had drinks outside the Agave cafe next to the fire place and met some great people, very relaxing and never felt rushed even after the cafe closed. Great happy hours! Lupe and Kelly (concierge's) were always helpful with what was going on during our stay. We BBQ'd one evening and it was great. Grills were super clean and there were heaters outside if we got cold while we were cooking.

Room Tip: We were in Building two on the 3rd floor. Construction is near buildings 3,4,5.

My wife may not stay anyplace else in the desert! An 800 sq. ft villa complete with full kitchen, living room, spacious balcony with a view of the mountains, and a spa tub in the bathroom. The bedroom was tastefullly decorated with a view of a golf course and mountains.
Tennis, basketball court, great work-out room, numerous pools, convenient cafe, cozy bar, and a slew of planned activities - you want it, you got it!
And the grounds are landscaped with drought tolerant foliage; a nice touch!
My wife and I liked the morning, planned walks where your guides point out and and describe the local landscape.
Warren Jerome, Director of Operations and Mr. Jim Moran, General Manager, will insure your stay is 1st rate! Lupe and Kelly at the Concierge desk were wonderful.
Since my wife and I are Starwood members, we accumulated points for our return visit-an added bonus.

Room Tip: pay a few buck more for the Premium Villa vs the Deluxe if you like a jacuzzi i the bathroom!!!

Everything from the moment I arrived onsite to when I left was wonderful. Staff on site were excellent I had a question they had the answer. I was in building 6 which is the farthest from the clubhouse, swimming pool, restaurant etc but there is a shuttle that comes and takes you from your building to wherever you need to get to on the resort property and there is tons to do onsite. I did see a new building of some sort being built but the construction never bothered me and I was gone by 9am and back by 6pm. I has a one bedroom deluxe unit - king size bed with balcony that overlooked the adjacent golf course, bathroom was nice, double shower head that was located nice and high on the wall, kitchen included a 4 person table and was complete with everything you would need, living room area was spacious with a sofabed if needed decent sized tv with lots of channels. Overall a great choice for a stay in the Palm Springs area.

Room Tip: I was on the third floor in building 6. Did not notice any construction noise that may be more noti...

I agree with what everyone has said. The service is excellent! Norma and Karen at the bar were attentive and friendly. We called the front desk to see if there was room service, which there isn't at a villa...very soon after our call someone came to our door with a basket of goodies, compliments of the front desk! Love the tennis , pools and the gorgeous golf courses.
One recommendation would be to have an option to buy movies in the room.

Room Tip: Dont book the bldg next to the new construction.

We spent 5 nights in a one bedroom premium villa and absolutely loved it.

The villa was huge and had everything from a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, gas fire place (which would be lovely in winter), separate living area, nice bedroom with comfy bed, massive bathroom with 2 sinks, great shower and a big bath tub to a balcony. We didn’t really use the latter as it was between 104F and 110F during our stay. Thankfully the A/C kept the villa nice and cool. After travelling for over 4 weeks we also loved having our own washing machine and dryer. Everything was perfectly clean and we never heard a peep from other guests.

The resort itself is beautiful and we enjoyed the 24 hour pool and fitness center.

Palm Desert itself has a very relaxed atmosphere and we also liked the abundance of (grocery) stores such as Costco, Target, Walmart, Bristol Farms etc. The Living Desert was fun (if a little hot) and we also enjoyed the Aerial Tramway in Palm Springs.

From now on Palm Desert is a must-stop on our future trips to the US (great place to relax towards the end of a trip) and can’t wait to return to the Desert Willow Villas!
