Just stayed here the day after Christmas with some friends and our kids. What a great visit! I can't say enough positive comments about this place! The property is well maintained, clean, fun, lots of activities to do, and good food and drinks at the Agave bar and grill. I would say the only negative comment I have would be the guests that stayed above us were very noisy i.e. soundproofing is not that great. Each and every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to be helpful and pleasant. The hubbys golfed and said it was a nice course, very well kept, and reasonably priced. We are already planning a return trip!

Room Tip: Choose higher floor room just for the sake of noise

this was my second time going to westin desert willow villas and i would definitely come again! my stay here was amazing; the pools were heated and perfect so at night i could swim with no one else, the service was excellent and the resort had some pretty cute lifegaurds ;). the staff members were really nice(they would ask about my day and morning, asked if i needed anything) they cared for the hotels guests. i had a great time meeting new people (Brian,Erick,Jordan). I would go back there again and again just because i love the location, the food, the service, and the activities.

We booked a premium villa for three nights. The resort is in a lovely setting and the villa was very spacious and comfortable. The only negative was the poor soundproofing between the rooms which was surprising considering the resort is quite new. We could clearly here every word in the conversations being held in the room next door to us.

My wife and I recently visited Palm Springs staying at the Westin Desert Willow Villas. We are Starwood vacation owners and, although I won't buy-in again because of fees (we are owners in Maui where we are pawns in the property tax battle between hotel companies and the County of Maui), the Desert Villa one bedroom layout is the best we have uncounted. Living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath, nicely laid out and appointed.
We were in bldg #1 on the 3rd floor. The bldg is practically brand-new and centrally located to all the amenities. The room had a decent view. All one-bedrooms in Starwood's design are in the center of the bldg and the patios are set back from the rear of the bldg limiting the view.
We like Palm Springs. It is an informal city with lots to see and do.
We also stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Villas. The room was comfortable and we do like this property also. We were in Bldg #30 on the 1st floor facing the Golf course, but the bushes bordering the course were high and with the one-bedroom set-back we did not have much of a view. Another nice feature to the property is that the Mission Hills Resort and Spa is adjacent to the Villas and you can use their pools and restaurants.

Room Tip: Desert Willow Bldg #1, upper floors for view

What a invigorating and restful stay before Christmas at the Westin Palm Desert Villas. We were in bldg. 1 with a great view of the golf courses and just right across from the pool, hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. The crowds were extremely low at the end of November and it was like having the place to yourself. the staff was impeccable, helpful, and friendly. The days are sunny and warm and the nights are chilly. With the moutains surrounding the whole area, it made for a dazzling view.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor but since there were elevators, it made no difference to us.
