“Very good deal in Palm Springs area, clean, quiet, next to freeway”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

This appears to be a very new hotel there are lots of empty shops/suites around. We had a large clean suite, typical of Homewood with living room, sofabed, bedroom, small full kitchen, etc. Food was average for Homewood, not as good as the Homewood in Henderson, NV and Del Mar, CA which IMO had the best food of all, but better than the Homewood in Las Vegas, NV which was pretty bad. It was windy and hot so we did use the pool and that was clean and lots of nice fluffy towels. The room itself was clean, as was the property, the front desk staff helpful, the place was in a good location, overall very happy with this place, no complaints. Will stay again. As mentioned in my other reviews, there was NO additional charge to my credit card, no "holds" no additional fees or resort fees. Parking and wireless internet was free.

I stayed here for two weeks while working in the area on business. The management and staff deliver everything you would expect from a suites hotel in this price range. It's not a luxury place, but it is clean, modern, well appointed and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast and evening meal are generally good. Beer on tap and decent wine are offered at the night meal. Good deal!

Only negative I would throw out there is the air conditioners are loud. They go full steam when they come on.

Room Tip: Cook St is fairly loud and will be a noise issue if you want to open the window for cool night air...

This hotel is new, set just off the freeway with good access to Palm Springs etc. It is in a new development which seems quite deserted, appears to be mainly medical suites, but there are a couple of good restaurants in the centre. The suite we had was large with a kitchen, separate sitting room, bed and pillows excellent. We were here in February so we didn't have to use the air conditioner at night, as it is a large unit next to the bed it would be very noisy for sleeping. It's a quiet hotel otherwise. The fitness centre was very good. Cell phone connection is nil inside the building. The breakfast was dissapointing, as others have remarked, the staff don't appear to be able to keep up with food, and didn't demonstrate any friendliness or make eye contact. The same experience at the (free) evening buffet, hamburgers, some fries did eventually arrive. I feel that this is a token effort and the hotel would make a better impression without this offer which is half-hearted. We would have given another star except for below average food service.

My wife's siblings and the two of us came to Palm Desert for a prearranged family reunion, altogether seven couples from Canada. We live very far apart in various places from British Columbia to Ontario and seldom get to see each other at the same time. We could not have found a better place than this, the rooms were clean, the kitchenettes were great and the staff more than helpful in every respect. At Chad Bauer's insistence to know how we found the room we pointed out a slight oversight by the housekeeping staff. He immediately made good on that and actually gave the two of us a free room upgrade besides. There were fourteen of us and we were all very impressed. Highly recommended!

Stayed in a one-bedroom suite for two nights which was very nice. Great mini kitchen with everything you need (except oven). Blankets and towels very soft and plush. New looking property. Pool never really gets sunny as it is in the middle of building. Has a little putting green spot. Breakfast was good to average. Danishes were not good, but a different select of hot items each day. Nice teas and coffee available all day.

I Would have given it four stars except for the following. Following breakfast, one of the employees sent their child out to watch cartoons in the lobby /breakfast tv area while she worked. We asked about the TV competing with the music, so they turned off the music and turned up the tv. When I turned down the tv volume myself, the seven year old(who's parent was not in the room) turned it even louder. This went back and forth until I complained to the manager on duty who said he'll look into it. They sent out the mother with a vacuum cleaner until we finally had to move to another area. I told the manager, you should rope off the room if you want to take it over and clean and have it baby sit employees kids- but don't offend us until we have to move.

First time we stayed here. The location is close to the freeway but not to close. It is in a new area and the hotel is new. I love the large rooms and extra space. Right near a large park for walking or playing with kids. Everyone here is super friendly. The pool area is small. If your going only to layout then go somewhere else. If your looking for a homey feel, this place has it.

We stayed in a king suite, with separate living area. Rooms were a nice size, everything was newer and clean. Full size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher. Parking, Wifi, breakfast and 4 dinners were included with our 7 day stay. Close to everything, pleasant & helpful staff. Would definitely return. A couple of small things I would like to mention is:
1. the GE appliances were noisy
2. in our 7 day stay, I don't think the hallways were vacuumed and the garbages/ashtrays around the outside of the building were not emptied often enough.
Other than that, it was good value, and a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Since this is a family oriented hotel with a lot of traffic, I would recommend not staying near the...
