Interesting animals in their habitats. Very clean. Kids petting zoo as well. Lots of shops although quite pricey

Loved this animal kingdom. Very nice walking there. Need no introduction to the animals, very nicely kept.

“Best small zoo and gardens in the world!!!”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

The zoo focuses on animals and plants from deserts around the world and they do a great job. There are misters if it gets too hot and a couple areas where you can rest in an air conditioned climate. The giraffe and cheetah enclosures are especially pleasing and the giraffe feeding is very fun. The new temporary exhibit of the Birds of the Australian Outback is a great interactive experience that is one of a kind in nature. It's easily doable in 3-4 hours and the cafes offer a good selection. The volunteers and docents are very knowledgeable and helpful as well.

“WE JUST LOVE THIS PLACE!!”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

This is our second visit in a few years, and it was just wonderful to be back!! We think it is almost as excellent as the San Diego Zoo. We love that the animals can pretty much roam as they please...and not quite caged. Those peoples who set up the design and concept of this zoo really had their heads screwed on right...thank God!! 'Can't wait to come back next year, for sure!!

“A Great Way to Get to Know The Desert”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Actually saw a lot of animals, that doesn't always happen. Grounds seemed to be well maintained and we liked how most animals seemed to have pretty much roaming space. Nice, natural environments. Have to say, riding the camel and feeding the parakeets was a blast. One of my new favorite zoos.
