“Don't miss this gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2012

Animals were up close, yet in a natural surrounding. Volunteers were very knowledgeable about there charges and obviously love/enjoy their responsibilities.. Do not miss this.. great for kids, and seniors and all ages in between.

“Hot as Hell”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

We went to The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens on Sunday, September 16th.
It was very hot, most of the animals were in hiding and there was not much to see at all.
I would suggest going very very early in the morning or waiting until the temperatures cool down.
It was also a bit expensive for what it was. I don't think we would go back.

“Nice zoo for area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

We were looking for things to do in the area and found this. Went there once at 1:30pm and they had just closed (as a lot of things we found). Discovered just about everything was closed or closed early during this time (sep) I think due to the weather, too hot. So, got up early the next day and went there. It was very hot, and the place is alot of walking! But they do have a tram you can shuttle around, I think it's extra. The admission was reasonable, $42 for 3 and they had more animals than expected. It was nice and all the employees were very outgoing and helpful. Worth a trip, neat place.

“An incredible place -- loved feeding the giraffes!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

My husband and I went by ourselves for this trip and loved it! You don't need kids to appreciate this place, although they will certainly adore it as well! Giraffe feeding is at 9am until Oct 1st, then is at 10am through the cooler season. Do get the extra all-day tram since it does get hot and there's so much to see!
