Had a great meal here, great Porto, lovely view, good service. Highly recommend it! All food is like Tapas and very inventive, really loved it.

“Great Food, Great Ocean View”

In addition to the unique and tasty food, the ambiance and view cannot be duplicated. Great background music to accompany your festive meal. Good place for a drink and appetizers with friends, great happy hour goodies.

“Festive and Yummy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

Four of us decided to try Puerto 27 for celebrating a birthday since we like to try out new places, and we all agreed that Puerto 27 was definitely a great choice.

We all started with Peruvian drinks -- Pisco Sour Clasico for two, a Pisco Sour Pointbreak for me, and a Peruvian beer, Cristal, for the fourth. The Pisco Sours were excellent, refreshing and light but strong as well, and the beer drinker thought his was good, too. Alongside, we enjoyed the Ceviche Sampler: four of the ceviches that were listed as separate starters. The two I enjoyed the most were the Ceviche Chifa (bigeye tuna with peanuts, scallions, wontons, and more) and the Ceviche Nikkei (whitefish, cucumber, tobiko, and more), but the Ceviche Elegancia (traditional) was also awfully good.

For our mains we enjoyed different entrees. Mine was the small paella, which was a tastily seasoned saffron rice filled with clams, oysters, sausage slices, chicken chunks, and a huge shrimp (prawn really)--I ate it all happily without any problem, glad I hadn't ordered the larger size, and one of my friends who tried a bite pronounced it as very, very good. The Muscovy Duck was arranged artfully in slices and devoured fully also. Another person had ordered the skillet roasted trout that came covered by caramelized prawns, onions, and tomatoes; I had a bit and thought it was one of the tastiest preparations of trout I'd ever tasted. The fourth had a seafood stew accompanied by grilled garlic bread. All of us thought the preparation and presentation of our dishes were excellent -- as was the taste.

Only two had room for dessert; tasting the flan, we found that dish to represent flan as it should be.

It was good that we had reservations for this Saturday night, for the place filled up rapidly, and the conversation level was high. Once the four-person party next to us left, we had an easier time hearing one another. But it was definitely a festive environment for a birthday dinner, and the views of the Pacific before the sun set were typically spectacular on this particular sunny day.

Those who wish a great meal with a great view -- and excellent Pisco Sours -- should head to Puerto 27 in Pacifica.

“Fun restaurant with gorgeous views”

Puerto 27, in addition to having great food, is a fun atmosphere with outstanding views of the ocean and sunsets. They also feature a great happy hour, albeit a little early, with wonderful food and pisco drinks.
