“Lovely View”

The view was very nice. Would be an excellent place for a date. Not very toddler friendly but we made it work for breakfast.

“Great food from King Neptune and more”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

We took a little exploratory trip just north on Hwy 1 to check out the sights near Pacifica and found Nicks Rockaway. There was a sign outside about the famous Crab sandwich so we gave it a try. Some of the tables had tableclothes and some didn't for a reason we could not figure out. The lady that sat us was very nice and it seemed as though she was the owner. Our server was good, but a little lacking in the end of our meal, we had to ask the busboy to box up our sandwich and get a check for our lunch. The food was really good and we could not finish the second sandwich since the first crab sandwich was so filling. The menu has everything you could want from seafood to hamburgers to pasta to salads...Overall a bit pricey, but the big portions kind of makes up for it. We had the leftover tuna sandwich later and was good as can be. Oh yes, the eggplant fries are unusual and very good, but you probably want to eat it hot and fresh than to take it to go. I would come back to Nicks again and try some more food items. The place is really nice and the hostess lady thanked us for coming in. We told her the food was very good and she was pleased to hear it.

“Right on the ocean”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We lived close to Nick's and ate there often. The best time to go is when the ocean is riled up - but park your car away from the ocean wall or it might get a salt water bath. Nick's is old style and so is the food. The sandwiches are usually good and the eggplant fries are wonderful. There is a dance floor in the bar which is as large as the restaurant space.

“Great surprise”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Was traveling from Marin County south to Half Moon Bay and looking for a place for lunch. Just before leaving Pacifica area we spotted Nicks and decided to try it. We were very impressed with the location, the service and most of all the food. The crab sandwich was a big hit and seafood choice from the menu is impressive. We enjoyed it so much that we returned a couple of days later with sister & brother in law who live nearby but had never been in Nicks. We all tried something different from the menu and were all very pleased. Great to listen to the waves against the sea wall and enjoy a great meal at a very reasonable price!!!

“Average Place - Great Location”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We ate here one evening for dinner while in the area. The food was pretty average and the prices were a bit high for what you got. The crab cakes we ordered were almost inedible because they were overpowered by some sort of strong spice. The rest of the meal and the service was average. The atmosphere of the place was like a party including live music, dancing and a very active bar area. The restaurant was a landmark for the area, having been there a long time. It also sits right on the Pacific Ocean so it is a nice place to see a sunset and grab dinner.
