“Awesome!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

While visiting the bay area, Nick's was highly recommended for great seafood. We were not disappointed. The chowder was delicious. I had a Seafood Louie that had lots of shrimp and crab. My husband had fried oysters and shrimp. It was lightly battered and fresh. He thoroughly enjoyed it and he is picky about his seafood. Great service and very enjoyable.

“Comfortably Old”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Came for the experience. Had lunch with the family. Nothing spectacular. Old decor as mentioned on earlier reviews. Food was good and hearty. Service was mixed. Fast to order, kind of slow receiving meal. Nice place to sit, eat and view the Pacific Ocean. If not hungry, full bar to enjoy scenery. If I'm around area, might drop by again.

“Shell Fish Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

Superior shell fish dishes at reasonable prices with view of the beach, non stop service 9-9, we were in heaven with the sauté Shell fish ($26) tender and huge scollops, clams and shrimps and the all crab meat crab sandwich ($20) .

We are thinking of making the 2-hr drive back here for more tomorrow!

“Crab sandwich...”

Great place with a nice view, good service and excellent food. The crab sandwich is a must have. They have large portions and fast service. Prices are ok. Great place for family meals.

“Old decor but great food & service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

Nick's
Don't let the 60's decor fool you, this place has great food and cocktails and clean restrooms.
We stopped here on our way to the Inn at Maverick's (see my other review) for an anniversary celebration. We both ordered the Crab Louie. It had at least twice the crab of any other restaurant I've been to and it was so fresh. We also had an appetizer of onion rings. I'm very particular about onion rings. The batter was perfect and fried just right - meaning crispy, not a soggy mess . My husband is a bit of a blue cheese aholic and Ashley, our server, was totally accommodating with extra sides. She also overheard us talking about our anniversary and brought us a decadent dessert. The employees were all friendly which is hard to find these days.

They also have a lounge and live music. My only slightly negative comment is when I passed through the bar area it smelled like stale beer.
