We visited here during out stay at the Lighthouse Hotel. Amazing poached egg and duck bacon. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend this to others.

“Outstanding seafood in a mediocre setting with great views”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

The Moonraker restaurant belongs to the somewhat dated Best Western Lighthouse oceanfront hotel in aptly named Pacifica, sporting great ocean views from many tables. The decor has a dated feel to it, but the seafood we ate was truly outstanding. Chef Jason Yeafoli claims to prepare the best seafood in the San Francisco region, and he may well be right.

“Memorable meal”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

We lived in Pacifica for over two years, but had never been to Moonraker. As our time was winding down, we decided to give it a try. We only wish we'd been sooner! We went for dinner and tried to time it so that we were there for sunset. The bar area was crowded, but the restaurant wasn't. We were seated right away at a booth overlooking the ocean.

We lucked out in that it wasn't a foggy night and the sunset was spectacular. As for the food, we weren't disappointed. In fact, although pricey, it was very, very good. We enjoyed a variety of fresh seafood dishes including ahi tuna tartare and scallops, and a local fish with vegetables sourced nearby. Add some wine, and it was a great night!

Watching the waves crash up over the breakers while we dined was a sight we won't soon forget. We will certainly return to Moonraker in the future.

“Fish in the view and on the plate”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a favorite of ours that we frequent at a minimum of twice a month. Their nightly specials are quite a bargain especially during Happy Hour. Our favorite is the Thursday all-you-can-eat fish and chips. The fresh catch is succulent to say the least.
I have back problems so the elevated backless bar stools become uncomfortable after a while.
There is ample parking and a great place just outside this restaurant to take a stroll.

“Breathtaking View and Excellent Food/Service!”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

Wow! My husband and I were thrilled at how good the food and service was at this restaurant! We stayed at the Best Western Lighthouse Hotel for our last night of a wine country weekend so we could be close to the airport in the morning. We didn't even know about this place until we got there and almost missed it because the front desk didn't tell us about it. We happened upon it while we were walking around and looked at the menu and decided to go there for dinner. We were not sorry with that decision! It was one of the best dining experiences ever! We sat at a booth that faced the huge window (the whole restaurant is surrounded by windows) and looked at the ocean and surfers during our meal. The food was excellent - some of the best Oysters Rockefeller I've had, and the grilled/smoked crab was different and delicious!! My husband had the braised lamb shank that was perfectly braised, and my lobster was also perfectly prepared. We cannot wait to go back to Pacifica, stay at the Light House Hotel and go to the Moonraker again. Loved it!!
