The room was good size and reasonably priced. It wasn't clean, we found a bloody tampon under one of the beds. Under staffed, had to go down to get an extra blanket after calling front desk and they said they couldn't come up. Didn't feel taken care of.

Room Tip: The room wasn't clean. We found a bloody tampon under one of the beds.

Nicely located in Pacifica if visiting nearby family. Breakfast is great if you're a sugar starved child. Not even worth going to if you're an adult. The "Kitchenette" has a working stove and fridge. That's it. No utensils to cook or eat with. The manager offered plastic utensils from breakfast, but that's it. The kitchen cabinets were filthy, with peeling contact paper, dirt, bugs and who knows what else. The elevator took 3-4 tries to get the door to close. No extra blankets or pillows in the room. asking the manager is like disturbing someone in their living room. The summer rates have skyrocketed to more than double what they were a year ago. The winter rates are better, but still high for this poor quality.

Room Tip: Don't plan to use the kitchenette unless you have your own pots, pans, utensils, dishes and dish soap to wash everything. Don't plan to use cabinets, they're filthy and falling apart.

I wasn't sure about staying at this hotel, but when we entered our room I was pleasantly surprised. The 2 queen with kitchenette had a partial view of ocean & sunsets. It was quite large, with dining table, desk, chair. Kitchenette was convenient but has NO plates, pots, pans, silverware. You have to bring or buy your own. There's a microwave, coffee maker, and decent sized refrigerator. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean. Continental breakfast was basic and had cereal, fruit, toast, danishes, coffee, and juice. Parking was free. The walk to the beach is down a quiet residential street, only about a 5 minute walk. There are a few restaurants close by, and a grocery store & shops across the walkway over the freeway. I thought this hotel was a little overpriced for the quality, but overall we did have a nice stay. The managers didn't go out of their way to give great service, but they were a fairly nice family.

Room Tip: Beach view is quieter side

I wanted to write as it was the most expensive but also the worst hotel experience we had in our recent trip to America for the following reasons:

The person on the desk was not hospitable or helpful in anyway, despite not being busy at all.
The bathroom was filthy and in poor repair. The lamination on the bath was missing in several places making it look grubby and shabby. The bottom of the bath was black and grubby, good dose of bleach would have sorted it out.
We had booked for 4 people but were only provided with toiletries and refreshments for 2 people.
We only had 3 towels, when we phoned down for enough for each member we were told we had to come down and collect them; as I was in the bathroom already was not helpful.
The extra bed we had to pay for was way past it's best, my son was left with a sore neck the next day.

Finally, the whole hotel smelled of stale curry which was not very pleasant on arrival; a few air fresheners through the corridors would have sorted this out.

Room Tip: Don't go in the first place
