Exceptionally clean and spacious suites with welcoming hosts. This is not a typical hotel; the suites feel like home. I am a relatively frequent guest needing workspace for computer and other equipment and the king suite with a full kitchen and kitchen table provide exactly what I need. Great location for day trips up and down the coast. Generally a single guest on field trips for coastal and wetlands nature photography, I take advantage of the room's large kitchen with full-size refrigerator, microwave, oven, and stove to prepare "home cooked" meals. Maid service includes dish-washing ;-) Breakfasts provided by the hotel are standard with cereals, pastries, bagels, fruit, waffles, toast, juices, coffee, and milk which supplement in-room cooking or a quick morning get-away. Both covered/garage and stall parking are available. Free wi-fi, fireplace (nice when returning wet and cold), and each ground floor suite has very large, private, double outdoor decks (estimate 120 square feet of deck space with patio table and chairs). King Suite includes bathroom, kitchen, small living area with sofa (fold out bed), coffee table and widescreen TV and a large sleeping area with its own widescreen TV, fireplace, bed, and wet bar. Multiple chests of drawers have extra blankets. In room safe for valuables. Perfect if you need comfort, space and a great location for working or vacation stays on the peninsula and want to prepare some or all of your own meals.

We stayed here in a two bedroomed family room in September. The electric kept shutting off for some reason and its in dire need of upgrade particularly the noisy plumbing in the bathroom. Breakfast was so-so with little choice and the DVDs offered at reception are ancient. We moved on from here to Pismo Beach and the Lighthouse Suites and there is absolutely no comparison... 2 star to 5 star.

This hotel is just average. There is nothing great about this hotel. It is really townhouses converted into hotel rooms.
The breakfast was also average and had few choices.
The best thing about this hotel was its location. The room walls are very thin. We could here our neighbors and their children every night for at least 3 hours. This was very anoying while we were trying to sleep. We will not stay at this hotel again. I think that we will spend more money next time and stay in a better hotel.
This was really a basic no trills hotel.

Room Tip: Do not stay at this hotel. Invest more money for a better hotel.

As usual I had a wonderful time visiting the Monterey Area and attending the Monterey Jazz Festival. The accomodations I found excellent and only added that much more to the the enjoyable weekend. The only problem that I had which really wasn't a problem which I'm sure you could have remedied right away was the fireplace. I didn't know how to light it and I saw no instructions for it. We didn't need it anyway with the weather being so pleasant so I never called the desk about it. I will ask next time I stay there for sure that's assuming you will have be back again next year.

Great location, nice facility, friendly staff....... The Wi-fi was too slow to be usable....... there was nothing but carbs at the breakfast provided. something as simple as boiled eggs would make the breakfast more attractive....
