“Good casual dining option away from the tourists.”
Reviewed October 12, 2011

We visited for lunch and it was good tasty food, made to order. We were surprised at the good quality, particularly the freshness of the food - and we really enjoyed the fries. I had the chicken tacos and they were way better than expected, we also enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine, away from all of the tourists!
I really wanted to write a review for this restaurant because it's a little out of the way and hard to find at first (for somebody visiting) and it's definitely worth a visit.

“A Delightful Experience”
Reviewed August 28, 2011

My husband, daughter and I had a very good lunch at Archie's.

it is fun to be there. We even used the crayons to draw on the paper covering the table.

The service is relaxed, but efficient. You order at the counter and it is brought to your table.

My daughter and I shared a sand dab sandwich. We decided it was the best meal we had during our whirlwind , one day visit to Monterey.

My husband loved the "ham stack" sandwich.

It is a casual restaurant that would be good for families.

We highly recommend Archie's.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed August 16, 2011

We walk the bike trail to Cannery Row every week, last weekend we decided for the second time to have breakfast at Archie's. The week before the food great and the service was good, this last weekend we stood at the window to order for about 10 minutes and no one talked to us at all several employee's walked by us, the lady at the counter inside looked over at us several times but never said a word. There was also a man cleaning the outside tables he would walk right by us and go inside and come back out and continue like we were not even there he never said a word to us? So sad because we so enjoyed eating there and sitting outside. I guess we will find a new place there are plenty on Cannery Row.

“Great sandwich”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

The Monterey Chicken sandwich and tropical tacos were yummy. We had them warm up our chocolate chip cookies, and they were delicious also. The fruit smoothies were not as great, but still refreshing. The staff was friendly and helpful.

“Wish it was as good for us, but it wasn't.”
Reviewed June 15, 2011

We visited Archie's on a Monday night at about 6:45, business was slow...one other couple. We went to the take out window to bring the food back to our motel room. The hamburgers were so-so...not formed and falling apart, tasteless, and greasy. The buns were not fresh, even crumbling as we tried to hold the burger. The order of garlic fries were plentiful but all of the seasonings (minced garlic) was in one spot so spreading that around onto the other fries while we were in our motel room was a task we gave up on. Not sure if we got there too late or if it was just Monday Blue's but Archie's did not live up to the reviews we had read and had hoped to experience. We won't be back to the aquarium for a year and doubt if we'll be back to Archie's ever.
