Passionfish is a place you must visit if you care about great seafood, interestingly prepared, and if you share or are impressed by the restaurant's commitment to sustainability. I not only had a great dinner but learned a bit, too, about the seafood/restaurant industry connection. A very impressive wine list, too. However, if your focus for the evening is more of an intimate, private dinner with a friend or small group, you might be better served elsewhere. I share the perspective of some reviewers who suggest the setting is a little causual given the price structure, but then again, let's not forget the location. I would return to Passionfish for the food and friendly, informative service.

Fantastic wine list, awesome service, wonderfully prepared food, great atmosphere. Somewhat on the expensive side, especially with a bottle of wine, but great for a special occasion.

The food at Passion Fish tasted as good as some truly excellent restaurants. However I would not rate the food excellent because the food was not plated as nicely as at some equally priced restaurants. The same can be said about the ambience (e.g. paper over the table cloths, casual dinnerware, rooms that had the feel of wide hallways, etc.). The atmosphere was very good but at the price I would expect even nicer surroundings. This is a casual eating place with fine food.

The food here is truly amazing, and we fully support their cause for using sustainable, responsibly caught seafood. Speaking of which, that seafood was extremely fresh and delicious... My locally-sourced scallops entree was the best I've had in a long time, perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Also, our server was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and wine.

Their wine list is quite extensive, focusing on local producers, but also featuring some fairly unique varietals and wineries from other areas. We especially like their policy of not marking up the wine to typical restaurant levels, which is a really nice touch

We will definitely return

Thank Steve K
