Comfy atmosphere, wonderfully crafted unique taste. We enjoyed 2 different kinds of fish, cooked to perfection with arouma and spice and served with an open invitation to your taste buds.
The location was diappointing, however, once inside and enjoying your dinner with a fine bottle of wine, the lack of a water view is forgotten.
- be sure to read the wine list for a fresh change of pace

“Great Eats - Sustainable Cuisine”

My husband and I had a romantic dinner here during our stay in Pacifc Grove. The restaurant was sleek, simple, yet modern. The scallop appetizer dish was AMAZING! For dinner, my husband had the duck confit and I had the sturgeon which was also yummy. The wine list is very extensive, and our waitress wasn't paticurlarly well versed. But we did end up with a bottle that we tried for the first time and enjoyed.

“Wouldn't go back.”

Food was less than okay. Service good. Atmosphere good. Everything tasted the same. We tried almost all of the small plates but nothing was very good except the wine.

“A fabulous find!”

I read reviews about Passionfish on Yelp and Trip Advisor and thought I would give it a shot for my significant other's birthday dinner...I am a self proclaimed foodie and love a restaurant with good food & wine and Passionfish did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic starting with the 'happy birthday' message on the table, to the friendly service, the wine recommendation and of course the food. We began with the smoked trout ceviche paired with some bubbly, than on to the Dungeness crab & avocado salad for the salad course (highly recommend!).

We both like red wine but were unsure of what to order with our entrees (I ordered the rainbow trout and he had the lamb), our server recommended a lovely Pinot Noir from Big Basin Vineyards that paired well with both dishes, excellent recommendation. Do not miss out on this place in PG!

“A favorite place to eat”

We have placed Passionfish as the restaurant to visit whenever we travel to Carmel from Hawaii which has been 5 times and counting. We enjoyed the food, wine selection and the courteous staff. Because of group likes to visit different restaurants while traveling it says something of Passionfish when it always placed on the list of restaurants to have dinner.
