“Very enjoyable experience”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

There were four of us for dinner and everyone completely enjoyed their choice. The fish was so fresh you would think it was just caught. I can personally vouch for the grilled barramundi. Not being a huge fish fan this was perfect. Very mild and perfectly cooked. I would have preferred a spicier topping though. Creative and very nice, presentation. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back again!

“Fishwife is Alright”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Very nice waiters, excellent service, cute place. Food is OK. I had the Salmon, daughter had some vegan thing. I ordered Calamari and they brought some thick slabs deep fried. Told me they were Calamari "steaks". uh huh. yeah. well never had that before. Not sure what it was. Had much better food in town. Clost to Asilomar where we were staying so we tried it out. Reasonably priced. Has a Mexican influence on the menu items and fish.

“Fresh Fish with Mexican Twist”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This Pacific Grove favorite serves fresh fish seasoned with Mexican spices in a variety of ways. Not much but fish on the menu, but who needs steak when the fish is this fresh and good. I had the Dover Sole and loved the creamy lemon sauce and pan fried spices with just a little heat. Served with black beans and rice. The Halibut special with habanero was delish, too. Crab stuffed ravioli was really yummy. Make reservations. This place is always busy.

“Superb clam chowder”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Midway in our cycling adventure, we stopped at the Fishwife for a bowl of clam chowder. The service was excellent, and the chowder was amazing. We will return.

“more seafood”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

It is a place the locals go, and no wonder. The food is fantastic, it has the best calamari you will ever have, the atmosphere is quaint, the price reasonable, and the people and service excellent. Hope you enjoy.
