A beautiful place to watch the sunset and the wildness of the Pacific Ocean breaking over huge rocks and crashing onto the shore.

Great tide pooling tons of starfish and crabs. My brother and I like to climb out on the rocks and scrabble around, but be careful, they can be slippery. Good for morning walks, and evening strolls.

We stayed at Asilomar conference grounds and had a beautiful view through the pines that would have cost a great deal more someplace else. Their cafeteria style breakfasts (included in the cost of the say) were really tastey. The location is central to so many areas of interest in the Monterey area. We road our bikes to Cannery Row and the Aquarium (another treasure!!).

We love this dog friendly beach. Just remember not to un-leash your pet until you pass the sign for off-leash. And please pick up your dogs pooh, don't ruin it for the rest of us.
