We came specifically to see this lighthouse and were not disappointed. The docents were very knowledgable and friendly and helped us with several questions. The view and the day were sparkling sun and we enjoyed very much the trip.

A great lesson in history and the accomplishments of those who have manned a lighthouse! Fascinating to view the property and all the documents and photos. The "light bulb" itself is worth the trip. Why does anyone need more space to live in than this charming place?

We were traveling through Monterey and had this site as a secondary visit. We had just finished playing a round of golf nearby and decided to visit. We have always enjoyed the history of lighthouses. The volunteers were great and we knew they had great pride in their lighthouse. We enjoyed the short tour and are pleased to see the renovation being made....

Oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the West Coast. Easy to get there and ample parking in area. Docents and displays add to the experience. Maintained by local historical society, so donations are welcomed at the door. View of how lighthouse living arrangement of 150 years ago very interesting.

While watching the Monarch Butterflies at Pacific Grove a local recommended I visit the lighthouse. What a treat! The view of the ocean from the Lighthouse is fantastic! A tour guide was on site who shared the history of the building. A must see if you are in the area.
