It is only open a limited number of hours Thursday through Monday. The docent is very knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. If you have questions she has the answers; especially regarding the lifestyle of the female keeper. It can be a lonely life. If you decide to make take this tour try to imagine what it would be like to live this way so many years ago. Then, follow-up the docent's comments with questions. sometime you lea more "outside" their formal talk. Make a donation...and not just $2. We stopped by again that same evening after watching the sunset to see the liht burning and to take our pic.
