Spent the night here on Thanksgiving while visiting the parents. Not much more I could ask for or expect - clean room, large comfortable bed, fireplace in bedroom, small patio outside suite. Perfectly fine breakfast in morning, I would happily stay here again.

Spent 2 perfect days on the Monterey Peninsula at Gosby House. We stayed in Room 9 which suited my wife and I to a "T". Great Kingsize bed, fireplace and flat screen TV. The breakfasts were excellent, the afternoon wine and cheese welcoming and the evening sherry was the perfect topper for each day.

Highly Recommended!

We truly enjoyed our visit to the Gosby House in Pacific Grove. Built in 1890's, it is charming, comfortable and located next to wonderful shops and restaurants. We stayed in the "Farley" room, which has a separate entrance off of a charming brick patio. We parked on 17th Street and was able to access our room without going through the Inn. Our room had antique furniture, gas fireplace, large TV, and jacuzzi tub. Bed was comfortable -- and they even do a "turn down" and leave chocolates and a fresh red rose on the sheets. Breakfast consisted of a baked egg dish w/potatoes, french toast, homemade muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit and juice. Appetizers in the afternoon are a hot dip (artichoke one night, bean dip the next), vegetable platter & win. In the evening they serve sherry and freshly baked cookies. Our favorite restaurant is directly across the street -- The Red House -- absolutely amazing food. We ate dinner & lunch there -- portobella mushroom sandwich, crab cakes and scrumptious toasted cheese sandwich. I highly recommend this Inn.

Room Tip: Farley is great because of the outdoor entrance. We heard no noise throughout the night. I would not...

We spent two nights at Gosby House for our 25th anniversary. Our room, "Farley", had a separate entrance off the garden at the back of the house. It also had a fireplace. Not a large room, but roomy enough, and we were quite comfortable here. Breakfasts were hearty and included a nice choice of items. Gosby's location can't be beat: just a couple of blocks from the beautiful beach, and right on Lighthouse Avenue, the town's main street. We parked the car when we arrived, and didn't have to move it until we left. Easy walking to fabulous restaurants and some great shopping.

Room Tip: #7, Farley, has a fireplace and a jetted tub/shower. Don't pick this room if you have very short...

We just spent four nights at the Gosby House Inn in Pacific Grove. Nice Victorian style home, and a nice place for a quick stay in the area. We had a room with a small balcony(number 9) that really did not look out on anything wonderful, and the bathroom was small but in line with most B&B's we have stayed at. However, the oversized chairs in the room took up quite a bit of space, and the electrical outlets were all too large for our phone chargers and they were either loose or fell out completely. That said, the buffet breakfast was nice, and taken in downstairs rooms with tables and a fireplace, but again, it seemed that the seats on many chairs needed new padding. The wine and nibbles in the afternoon was a nice touch and we enjoyed that. The Inn, between Carmel and Monterey, was a good location for walking and exploration of the surrounding areas and was a three hour ride to Hearst Castle along beautiful highway 1. The desk staff was helpful when asked questions, and in all, it was a pleasent stay in a great area for a birthday vacation. Oh, several restaurants namely Il Vecchio, Fifi's and Max's are well worth a visit if one was to stay in Pacific Grove.

Room Tip: Go on line and look for the larger rooms, and there is a room outside but on main level if you do no...

We only spent one night at Gosby House in what must have been the smallest room. Whilst it was very pretty we left our suitcases in the car and only took in what was necessary as there wouldn't have been any space. For a longer stay this wouldn't have been a good choice.

This establishment is a cross between a B&B and a small hotel as it it staff run and there is no welcoming host or hostess in evidence, that said the staff were friendly and helpful. A good buffet breakfast is served with excellent choice which met our needs well. This made a pleasant change from some of the 'over the top' no choice breakfasts we had elsewhere on our trip in the U.S.

Afternoon wine and appetisers and evening sherry and biscuits were a very welcome touch and it was nice to relax in from of the fire at the end of the day.

I would happily choose this chain again but opt for a larger room.

We stayed at the Gosby House Inn for two nights in October and were delighted with the charm, comfort, food and warm and wonderful service at this beautiful Victorian house! Our rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The location is perfect for strolling through the charming town of Pacific Grove and we would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends and family.
