I have been to An Choi many times, and everytime everything is great t, the chef would always ask us if everything was ok the answer to that would always be perfect. I really recommend it. You must go. :)

In a remote location in Pacific Grove ,We found this little Jewel of a resturant . Husband and Wife operation , Husband is the cook Wife is the Hostess ,Food was Very good ! Tried some things I don't usually do ! Like clay pot shrimp ! Pho Bo soup ..along with a few others ! All was good ! Presentation was very good also..Ample portions.Entire Resturant was clean and very well decorated ! Hostess was very friendly,and explained any questions we had ! We had a Wonderful overall experience and will make this a regular in our visits to PG/Monterey area ! Ssshhh ...this is the best kept secret !

I took my wife to An Choi in Pacific Grove for her birthday, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Just a ten-minute walk up from glorious Asilomar Beach and next door to the Olympia Lodge where we stayed, An Choi has inventive food, excellent service and a very friendly staff. The chef's daughter was our waitress (very friendly and efficient), the chef's wife was the hostess (great suggestions about the food and the wines), and the chef, Thanh, even came out to chat and answer our questions about his food. He was trained in his hometown Saigon as well as in Belgium. We had jicama spring rolls with a mild peanut sauce and shrimp and onion tempura for appetizers with a Monterey chardonnay, and I had the canard d'orange with a nice syrah, while my wife had the Tamarind Prawns with garlic noodles for our entrees. High quality, freshness, and great taste all around. Great fusion Asian cuisine. We will be back!

The potstickers with shiitake mushrooms are amazing! The martini ideas are delicious, but execution needs work (tip: ice should never be in a martini glass).

Entering An Choi, you are struck by the serenity of the decor and the immaculate interior. Our extended meal was superb, beautifully presented and obviously made with only the freshest of ingredients. This was our second dinner here - and it won't be our last.
