“A beautiful walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Lovers Point is a first a grassy park then a rocky point with views in every direction. There is a sandy beach with stairs leading to it, and at times, otters egrets, cormorant and seagulls.
It is the perfect spot, morning or evening, to wave watch.

“My favorite place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

I'm a new resident of pacific grove and Lover's point is a beautiful place. I wish I can stay in PG forever, but I'm soaking it all in while I'm here. I walk to Lover's point at least twice a week on the bike path. The rock formation is amazing and there's also a little beach area. There's a little park there, perfect for dates, get togethers (I saw a small family reunion there about a month ago) and wedding photos. .

My advice? Bring your camera, Bring a jacket and to avoid the crowds, go in the morning or on a weekday is possible. The crowd isn't bad, but sometimes you just want a relax environment. They also have a little hot dog/hamburger stand and rental gear. Ahhh, I love this place! Come on by! A tourist told me I'm lucky to live here even if it's only for a year :) I agree.

“Protected with slightly polluted water....”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

This a beach that is fine some days of the year and contaminated with sewage some days of the year....if you read the warning notices, it's not a bad place to wade in the water....

“An invigorating walk from Pacific Grove to Monterey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

If the weather is not too hot, but there is usually a breeze anyway, by the coast, take a walk from Pacific Grove to downtown Monterey, or vice-versa. About half way to your destination you'll find Lovers Point. It's a nice stretch of coast, with cliffs and the surf breaking on the seashore. It is definitely a tourist attraction, in a touristy area, so on weekends, holidays, and in the summer it is probably quite crowded. But we were there in September (perfect weather) and on a weekday we only saw some joggers, a few families with kids and some loner strollers. It's a good chance for nice pictures, even more if you're there by sunset on a clear day.

“Too many people”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

There were so many people around it was hard to really appreciate the surroundings. There is a small beach there and hot dog stand type food place too. There was a wedding being set-up during my visit, so maybe thats why so many people but it still isn't anything to write home about.
