We arrived late at night to find our spacious room ready for our sleepy Heads. The buffet spread has something for everyone. Kids tried out the pool and spa and were quite satisfied. We would love to return someday. Great stay!

My wife and I stayed 11/26 to 12/14 on business.

We were in our original room for 2 nights, just long enough to settle in. However, we got a call that the stairs were collapsing in front of our room. The front desk was able to comp us a night or two for our trouble.

The RI was nice enough to upgrade us to the Penthouse (for the room switches), but really, for 2 people, the layout actually has less space! For a family, or a couple co-workers, the Penthouse would be great, but for a couple, stick with the Studio.

Slow internet, like 1.5mps download speed.

They helped move us to a new room, which was 1124. Upstairs--one side facing the golf course, the other facing the tennis courts. This is by far the best room at the whole complex, since there aren't any neighbors from any window.

We did have a major issue in our room, but after talking to management, we were able to reach a mutual agreement.

With the size of the property, I didn't want to make the trek to the Lobby too many times, but when I did, the breakfast and manager's reception were pretty good.

There are several hot tubs scattered throughout the property, so you can always relax in peace.

We travel with 2 dogs, and being next to the golf course, we had plenty of room to walk them.

The fitness room is maybe a bit small for 200 rooms. But we never had to wait to get on either a treadmill or elliptical runner.

Overall, our 2 1/2 weeks stay there was good. Even the Studio Room was plenty of room for my wife, me, and 2 dogs.

Be sure to visit Pete's Breakfast House in Ventura CA!

Room Tip: Room 1124 is the best! Upstairs, and one side looks at the golf course, and the other side looks out on the tennis courts = no neighbors! You HAVE to go to Pete's Breakfast House in Ventura.

We stayed at this property as it was the closest to Santa Barbara. It is in a really nice location overlooking a golf course. They have tennis courts (5) but for whatever reason, all the nets were down. In any case, this property has over 200 rooms all done in little buildings holding 8 rooms, most of which are studios. All are nice and look recently refurbed. We stayed in room 1124 which is tucked away, overlooking the tennis courts and golf course. The room on first glance looked nice and clean. And for the most part it was. However, my husband used the toilet and it was clogged (and this was prior to his using it). TMI? Maybe but it makes one wonder. Also, the towel bar fell off the minute we took a towel off it. The carpet is in desperate need of cleaning as we walked in our socks and they were black by the evening. Also, no bar soap for either hands or body. Makes one wonder exactly how clean it was and why wasn't it checked? How can a housekeeper miss a clogged toilet if she cleaned it and why wasn't the broken towel rack reported to maintenance? However on the plus side, the toilet was fixed quickly but we never did get soap! Also, the hot water is VERY hot and the cold water is VERY cold so be careful.
On the plus side, the hearth room where they sefve breakfast is big enough for the number of rooms. I mention this because in the majority of Residence Inns we stay at, this is not the case. Ususally the breakfast area looks like an afterthought. Also, the location is nice. We are planning on returning and hope the rooms are cleaners and better maintained.

I have never stayed in a Residence Inn before. It was like our own little condo. There was a huge variety for breakfast with waffles, cereal, eggs, potatoes, pastries, and sausage. I would definitely stay there again!

We partly picked this hotel because it was advertised as having a full kitchen. We were disappointed to find no oven. Just a cook-top and microwave. The garbage disposal was broken, when we tried to call the front desk the phone would just ring with no answer. We called with our cell phone and they answered right away. They promptly sent out someone and as soon as he came in the door he started blaming us. We had by this time already cooked our dinner and so there was a bit of food from our plates in the sink in the water that wouldn't drain. He said you can't put vegetable down there it won't chop them, say what, soft cooked vegetables and it was just bits left from our plates. He fixed it but was rude and made us feel like jerks. The doors are loud and stick. We couldn't even open one of the closet doors. Otherwise the place was clean. We were given a room in the back far from the parking. Which surprised us since we had asked for a first floor room, saying we had trouble walking. The best part of our stay was the breakfast buffet, with lots of choices and keep clean and stocked. Will not stay here again.
