Walked down to heritage square on Sunday afternoon. Nothing going on unless you like looking at a few houses. Maybe it was due to the fact it was Sunday but would not waste my time.

It's located in downtown Oxnard. If you happen to be passing by stop and take a look and read about the old buildings. It's nice and clean(unlike the area surrounding it) and you can see a lot of hummingbirds. All the buildings are businesses so you really can't go look inside unless you have something to do there. I didn't go in but there looked like the bar in one of the buildings was pretty nice.

This was a difficult place to find. After driving around in circles, we found the square. Not much was happening. Everything closed on a Monday afternoon. beautifully restored buildings worth a few pictures, but not much else.

Chapel (weddings etc.) is pretty, catering from the restaurant was good, central plaza open air reception area is nice. Only danger was unattended children might wander off due to the open nature of the plaza.

Well used gorgeous turn of the century setting of historic houses moved to this one area bounded by 7th Street on one side and B on another. It has a restaurant in a lovely old home, a wine tasting place in another, businesses, etc. Every Fri. nite from 6:30-8:30 live music of all different venues from June through August. It is a place that brings the community together as one. It is the background for weddings, teas, etc. It would make a wonderful movie set also. It gives us a sense of the genteel life of yesteryear.
