“Great, cheap Mexican food”

I eat at the one on Saviers all the time, since I work near there. I'm Anglo and have never had the slightest problem with attitude or service. My favorite is "Tacos de Papas" delicious mashed potatoes in 3 crispy tortillas with all the crema, onions, lettuce and salsa they can fit. Maybe if you don't go looking for attitude, you don't find it.

“::::::warning::::: avoid if you're anglo”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2010

great food here but go at your own risk if you're you're anything but spanish-speaking mexican. i'm half spanish so i can pass but i see white people getting harrassed or insulted or even pushed around all the time even when they are being totally cool. it's too bad because tdm is the best food in town. the workers should just get a clue and treat everybody the same. guess they have to be proud of race since the way they treat people is nothing to be proud of.

sorry, i love the food, but i had to speak up. ~ reina

“the best food, not so great service but who cares?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2009

Yes, there are two locations in Oxnard, this one and one on Saviers Road. Been eating here for 20 years and it never changes--great burritos, and the mild salsa is so good that they have to charge 10 cents for each small container. Yes, if you are a gringo you might have to put up with the attitude, and yes, if you visit late at night you will have to engage the danger radar at full power. I once saw Bridget the Midget ordering an asada burrito, and she definitely classed the place up.
