Thank you George and Faye for the wonderful experience of your wine tasting experience. Yours is the utmost best I have tasted. From the ambience to your hospitality this was a worthwhile visit to Oxnard.

Faye gave plenty of information on how she and her husband produce their wines and she answered all inquiries. Very comfortable place. I looked around this historic building on Heritage Square and loved the building. Bought a couple of bottles of wine too. Do walk Heritage Square and see the historic buildings.

Faye and George are wonderful hosts and can teach you all about George's great red wines. Ask for my faves John's Zin and Mourvedre. You can do a self guided or docent tour of the park, which contains refurbished homes, chapel, water tower and other turn of the century structures once owned by pioneering families in Oxnard. Now these buildings house the tasting room, boutiques, offices, salon, community theater and restaurants. Friday nights in late June, all of July and the beginning of August there are free concerts in the square from 6-8pm, all kinds of great music. Tonight is R&B, previously there was big band, reggae and big band...If you go, say hi to all of my wine cousins!!! And walk around the block to 7th and Oxnard Blvd to Jesse's El Taco de Mexico for an authentic nibble! Or check out the other fine restaurants in downtown Oxnard.

Did you know that Malibu is the gateway to Oxnard and Ventura County Wine Tasting? If you don't want to go up the hills you can get off Highway 1 in Oxnard and begin tasting at Rancho Ventavo. They're open Friday to Sunday 11 - 6 and most holidays also. If you want to try more wine ask Faye and she'll point you in the right direction for your next tasting.

This is the most inviting winery we have ever been to. The owners, Faye and George make you feel like their home is your home. The winery is located in the historic section of Oxnard called Heritage Square. They have a nice porch to sit and enjoy your wine. It is a very peaceful setting. They only produce red wines and they are all fabulous. We fell in love on our first visit and became "wine cousins" (club members) that day. Every time we return, Faye and George are always there to greet us with a big hug ang plenty of wines to taste. We are so excited to be members of a local winery so we can become more involved in the winery activities. If you enjoy red wine, do not miss a trip to Rancho Ventavo.
