“Good Service, NicePresentation, Food so so...”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Waiter was very attentive & answered all my questions. First glass of wine/vinegar was immediately replaced. I ordered the Special & it tasted like tomato soup over noodles. Salad was good. Not overpriced so didn't feel cheated. Carpet needs replaced but otherwise good atmosphere. I won't repeat the experience for dinner though I might try a lunch????

“WORTH STOPPING IN OROVILLE FOR GREAT VALUE IN ITALIAN CUISINE”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Are you willing to have a good Italian dinner with wine for under $25/person??? Between Sacramento’s Espanol and Chico’s Sicilian Café, there is no more affordable and good traditional Italian restaurant than Oroville's Luceddie’s, at least for dinner and probably for lunch.

Half a dozen pasta dishes that range from Spaghetti/Meatball to Chicken Marsala and several in between all under $15. BBQ beef dishes including Beef Brisket, Tri-tip, prime rib and steaks. Consider asking for BBQ sauce on the side to see if you like it. Not much in the way of seafood dishes except possibly one shrimp/scampi.

Salads from basic garden to Caesar and the usual appetizers. Wine list has local and No. Calif. wines and you can get a good bottle of red or white starting at $19. Yes…that is not a misprint. Setting is an 1880 building with brick walls that have well mounted photographs from Italy and the local area. This is not haute cuisine but hearty traditional Italian dishes well prepared. Good food, good setting, good service and good value.

CONS: Not easy to find; almost no fish dishes; most appetizers fried; no full bar.
