I could live with the junkyard quality furniture, needed paint jobs, and other poor decor, but the place should cost even less than it did with such lack of decor!

But that was a drop in the bucket, compared to the day staff's total ignorance of standard hotel chain policy, and refusing to honor a time-honored courtesy of the standard 1-hour late checkout at no fee!

They had the nerve to call the room at 11:25, demanding that we leave at 11:30, a mere 5 minutes later, or get charged with another full day.

This place does dishonor to the Wyndham & HoJo brands!

BTW, breakfast is a joke... A handful of boxed cereals, milk, and juice... Not even any sweet rolls or fruit, which is all some hotels have.

They should do more or drop their rates at least $25/night and tell anyone asking that late checkout is not an option, no have one shift confirm it and another refuse it.

FYI as well, the bathroom plumbing is not good... Tub faucet had a spraying leak when switched to the shower, and the shower head was clogged... Latter could be soaked in vinegar if they are too cheap to replace it!

I'd give this place an OK review but for the check-out staff in the AM! That is totally intolerable!

Nice Orange County Location and nice clean with an Amazing no Hassel staff. It's a very Professional Group. I say Thank You Howard Johnson of Orange for such a clean professional place at a Value Price. It's what every Traveler looks for.. Thanks Again...

Even though I drive by the location daily, I never realized a HoJo was tucked in behind the gas station and Sushi restaurant. I only found it online when another motel was not available. What a lucky turn of events that turned out to be as the HoJo was much nicer and a better value for the rates. My daughter and son-in-law,visiting from South Africa, and stayed quite comfortably and happily for a week. As an added bonus, we tried the sushi restaurant and it was excellent.
