we enjoy the train ride, pony rides, lake and zoo. Great value for the money and they also offer seasonal events that are fun to attend.

My family has been going to Irvine Regional Park since I was about 12. I'll be 59 this year. My grandkids love to ride the horses and the train. Rental bicycles are a big hit and lots of room for hiking and a small zoo!

This park is simply amazing and the entrance fee is a dollar or something like that. Once you get in be prepared to spend the entire day here. Great for the kids if you need a serious break. So much fun.

We visited with our seven-year-old and two-year-old on a Saturday morning. The parking fee was $5 as a weekend rate. We started off riding the train ($4 each rider over one year of age). The Conductor, Rob, shared history of the park for the adults along with adding comments in for the children.

We took the path from the railroad depot up to the OC Zoo. We passed a playground for small children. The OC Zoo ($2 for those over the age of 3) is very small but a good time for the kids. We saw Bald Eagles, snakes, deer, an ocelot, chickens, owls, and had the opportunity to pet and brush some goats. Sanitizer stations were present throughout the zoo.

Our seven-year-old also had the chance to ride a horse ($4 for twice around the small trail). It was quick ride, but she loved it!

The park also has street bike & water bike rentals, which we did not have time for on our visit. You can also fish in the upper and lower lakes of the park if you have the proper fishing license.

The bathroom facilities are clean, but the sink area did not provide soap. You might want to be sure to have some sanitizer with you.

There are also some gazebos and jump houses available for party rental. It appeared that almost all of them were rented out on the Saturday we visited. A few tables with umbrellas were also present for families that brought a picnic lunches. We highly recommend the Irvine Regional Park for a few hours of family fun.
