Great hotel for the money. Very comfortable and clean. Loved having hot breakfast every morning. Parking was an issue but not terribly inconvenient. A 5 minute drive down the 5 and we were at Disneyland. The only thing that would have assisted in traveling with children would be to have a table in the rooms, as opposed to a desk. snack time and lunch time in the room was a bit frustrating.

Room Tip: A room close to the elevator was helpful while traveling with kids.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to let our reviewers see why our hotel has such a great value. We are very happy to read you were pleased with your stay. We are happy to read you found our hotel to be clean, comfortable and our complimentary Full American breakfast buffet to be great. We thank you for your suggestion about placing a table in the room instead of a desk. We also thank you for your understanding with our parking. Our parking structure should be finished in May. We have hired a valet parking service at no charge to our guests, to assist us until the structure is completed. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve you once again in the future.

We had read good things about the "Ayres Inn" however, I think we must have been reading about the Ayres Inn in Anaheim. This hotel is in Orange, not Anaheim. We were expecting to stay closer to Disneyland but this hotel felt far away. The rooms are very small. The hotel elevators were tiny (4 feet by 6 feet) and didn't accomodate many people on them. The rooms are a little noisy...not well insulated between rooms. The worst part of our stay, however was the parking issues. The hotel is building a new hotel behind the existing one and so the parking is pretty much nonexistent. Plus we were told by one of their night time desk clerks that they were "renting" out their parking lot to AT&T and so one whole parking lot was monopolized by AT&T trucks. This was extremely frustrating especially since we took a drive and two blocks down there is a huge AT&T complex with tons of empty parking. It left us wondering why they could not park down there and then park a few of their vans at the hotel and car pool to the AT&T place to pick up their trucks. The hotel did provide free valet parking but we were told they would park our vehicle back in the construction zone and we didn't want to take the chance of damage to our car.

On the positive side, the rooms were clean. There was a hot breakfast each morning (although we got tired of the same thing each morning as we stayed at this hotel for six nights). The beds were very comfortable and the staff was professional although not helpful when dealing with concerns over the parking.

If you don't mind having no parking or being a little far from Disneyland then this hotel might work for you. For us, the parking was extremely inconvenient and we will not choose to stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to our family and friends.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to review our hotel; I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns. First let me apologize for the front desk giving you incorrect information. The hotel does not rent out the parking lot to AT&T trucks. The hotel is currently housing 29 AT&T repairmen from out of state who are working in the Orange County area helping the local AT&T offices. The trucks all belong to registered and paying guests. The AT&T office down the street is a difference division and unrelated to the AT&T group staying in the htoel. Due to the limited parking situation the Hotel is providing complimentary valet service to our guests. I appreciate your concern that the parking is in the construction site, but it is level, safe and away from the actual construction. The hotel is anticipating the new 2-story parking sturcture to be open in late April. I will be using your letter as a training tool to better communication with our guests, ensuring the information they receive is 100% correct. Again, thank you for your review.

The Ayres Orange is not as nice as the Anaheim location. It is an older property, nice, but has more wear. The staff is awesome, very friendly and willing to accommodate. The property and the hotel were clean. There is construction going on site, they are building a new wing. The location is right across the street from the hospital, so you will hear sirens if you are a light sleeper.

It also had some weird features, when was the last time you saw a ceiling fan in a hotel? It is a ways from Disneyland, we never found an easy way to get there from the park. Our stay did come with breakfast, but the Anaheim Ayres was better.

We probably won't stay again, not because our experience was bad, but there are closer hotels of the same quality. We also enjoyed the Anaheim Ayres property better, it seemed newer and more upscale.

Thank you for your recent stay at our hotel! We are sorry to read we did not exceed your expectations. We strive to have our guests leave completely satisfied with their stay. I'll try and explain on a few comments you noted. You mentioned that our property wasn't as new or nice as the Anaheim property. Our building is older than the Anaheim property and the difference we do see, is our guestroom bathrooms since they are a bit smaller. The decor of the Ayres hotels is nearly the same. Though it may seem like the Anaheim property is closer to Disney, both properties have the same distance to the theme parks main gate.
We are glad you were very impressed with our staff's service. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you once again in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly, so that I can assist you with any further concerns. My contact information is szuno@ayreshotels.com or 714-978-9168 x702.

My son goes to a nearby university, and I stay here everytime I visit him. I have always had a good stay - close to everything I need and always a clean room. The breakfast is average, the rooms are a little noisy with hallway noise, but the management is always friendly, helpful and A+. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Front desk staff was nice. The room is large but basic. And the windows dont fully shade. I did not get a good nights sleep. I would look elsewhere. Flat TV, king bed. Plastic cups for water. Free wifi.

Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Ayres Inn Orange. You mentioned that the
"rooms don't fully shade." I am so sorry, it sounds as if you did not see that there are black out drapes in all our rooms. The window treatment consists of decorative side drapes and valance, sheers and then the black out drapes tucked against the side walls of the room. I am also sorry that the connecting room has noisy guests. Please, should you have problems in any Hotel, so not hesitate to contact the Front Desk or Management so the situation can be quickly rectified. We would have been happy to help you find the black out drapes and also move you to another quieter room. And of course we would have asked the neighboring guests to be more considerate in terms of noise. Should you wish to try our hotel again, please contactr me directly and I will be happy to assist you during your stay.
