After being told that the wait was 1 hour 20 minutes, disappointed, we decided to leave and find another place to eat. Upon checking one more time, a table opened for our group of 8. We were pleased as we had an important family meeting in two hours, and were relieved that we could come to one of our favorite restaurants. After being seated, we were virtually ignored for a half-hour, then a server came for our drink order. We were more than ready for drinks and food, so ordered. One and one-half hour later, several drink mistakes later, and waiting nearly an hour for salad and bread sticks, we decided to leave. Not fed, but fed up, we began to gather our things when a waitress came to apologize, sharing that there were problems in the kitchen and that we would not be required to pay for our meal that still had not arrived. As we stood to leave, we were surprised first that our orders (most of them) were rushed to our table and hastily placed before us. We again sat, and began sampling the mostly-cold or obviously re-heated food. We had previously asked for the manager, and he later came and apologized. He also brought the head chef and head waiter, who also apologized profusely. We hope this was an aberration, an will come to this restaurant again. Cudos to the manager, chef, and head waiter for apologies. Not their best day, and hope for better days to come.
