Everything about this place was great! It has a little of the "old school" feel, with all the amenities. Right at the base of the mountain, across from The Village. Could;t find a better place, especially for the price!

We celebrated Thanksgiving in this resort with our family. It was conveniently located between Northern CA and Reno. We loved the activities available as well as those provided by the staff. It is an especially great winter vacation resort as it is located in the Olympic Valley, conveniently walking distance to Squaw Valley Ski Park and Snow Valley.

Room Tip: Any room except room 105 have a wonderful view. 105 has an ok view partially blocked by a building.

From the check in process to the rooms, everything was great at this homely lodge. We really wanted to extend our stay beyond the 4 nights but time is tight and we had a lot more to cover.

Don't be put off by the one queen bed ad one sofa bed. The sofa beds are comfy!

The only drawback is that the lobby is only open till 7pm so if you do need help (e.g. extra amenities etc) after that, you're out of luck. Additionally housekeeping missed our room on the first day but thats a minor setback to an otherwise great property!

Hello Darren C, we are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. All the sofa beds were just replaced last summer, so that certainly helps with the comfort level. Thank you for the review and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Let me first say how extraordinary our experience at this resort was this week! We are a family of five; two young girls, one teenager and two adults (tall in size). We all fit comfortably, kids and adults slept well. Kids loved the movie borrowing and the hot tub just steps away was really great after a day in the snow. I enjoyed the cozy and home like feeling and free laundry use was great, Wonderful high end machines!

I particularly appreciated the assistance and go above and beyond attitude of Nick and Sara.

They are truly wonderful people as well as a great hosts. Nick showed my our room before we booked so we can see if we fit. We booked the room, he told us about movies and local activities. He even have us tips about snow chains!

Additionally, my daughter left her backpack, Vera Bradley with ALL her school work! She struggles academically and it would have been a great hardship for her to catch up on this work. They found the backpack and mailed it to us!

We stay at Squaw Valley every Thanksgiving and we are so happy we choose to extend our stay at Red Wolf Lodge.

Room Tip: Rooms are all pretty nice, one side faces the pool, clubhouse and hot tub and the other Squad Kids.
