This café is part of the Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn. The food is good, the Bloody Mary's are great and the ambiance cozy.. The grounds are really nice as well, and you can take your drink to their pool area which has cozy private areas for relaxing or enjoying the views.

Casual yet classy. The food and the atmosphere is great. Service might be inconsistent but friendly. Great wine selection.

This was a nice restaurant - the inside made us laugh, it was sort of Alice In Wonderland looking. (Hard to explain - but if you go, look at the walls in the seating area and you'll know what I mean.) The staff was GREAT - we asked our waiter if he was a hiker, as we wanted to get some hiking in. He said that he wasn't, but that he knew the hotel and also the local paper had had some hiking ideas. We left it at that, but then he came back before our next course with the paper and the hiking handout for us! Now THAT is great service!

The food was fine, very good. A bit expensive for what it was but enjoyable. If you want "special" I'd suggest going to Christy Hill in Tahoe City.

We stayed at the Squaw Valley Lodge across the street and went here for breakfast during our stay. The buffet doesn't look like much at first glance, but it really does offer a lot. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels and eng muffins, granola. Everything was delicious.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was replenished quickly when needed and the area was very clean.

Friendly staff and very good food at Plumpjack. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but we enjoyed it.
