Excellent Service! Warm knowledgable staff. Loved the complimentary shuttle as well as the outdoor heated pool. I'm going back

I just returned from a week's stay at the Olympic Village Inn from Feb.
13 to Feb. 22. The one bedroom condo is very cozy. Perfect for a family of 4. As you walk into the unit, you are lead into the bedroom with a queen size bed. Continue into the unit, there's a vanity area/bathroom that separates the bedroom from the living room. The living room has a pull-out double size sofabed. Also, in the room is a VCR, CD/Radio.
There's a kitchenette in the living room area. The kitchenette is equipped with two burners, a microwave, small refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Our room had a balcony that had a view of the Squaw Valley ski slopes. The best thing about the resort is the convenience to the slopes. Hop on the free shuttle provided by the hotel and you are on the slopes within minutes. After a long day of skiing, just hop back onto the shuttle and you're sipping the complimentary hot coffee and hot tea in the resort's lobby while the other skiers are still fighting the traffic getting out of the parking lot. The resort has a large heated pool that is available even during the winter months. The resort also has many outdoor hot tubs that are perfect for relaxing your sore muscles from skiing. The hotel lobby has a sitting area with a television, and free internet access on the computer for guest use.
Right out the doors of the lobby are three coin operated washer and dryers for use by all guests. The resort also provides ski storage so you don't have to lug your skis up to your room. The recreation department provides free use of sleds and snow shoes as well. The staff at the resort are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had a nice stay here at this new resort in Squaw Valley, but it was hampered by some problems. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The bed, which was in a separate bedroom was very comfortable and the tv was close by. The DVD for this TV was a cheap model and did not work. The bathroom was above average. Good kitchen facilities. Nice balcony with a view of the ski mountain. My biggest problem was the noise of construction outside. Two consecutive mornings were ruined by the harsh sounds of heavy machinery, and power saws. It started at 7:00 in the morning! I couldn't believe it. I called and complained to the front desk, but it continued on for a while. They DID take off 50 dollars for my room, but the damage was already done to my peaceful retreat. Also, there is no A/C in the room, only a portable fan you can haul out of the closet. I stayed in mid-Sept and the morning sun started cooking the room to about 85-90 deg. Wouldn't want to be there during July and Aug. Curious decision not to install A/C in the rooms. I won't be going back, but it might be a good place to try in the winter.

The Olympic Village Inn was originally created to house the olympians during the 1960 olympics. The Inn has been completely redone, and now contains 90 charming swiss chalet style mini-suites. From the feather duvets in the bedroom, to the hand-painted tiles and terry cloth robes hung in the bath, to the mini living room and kitchenette, this resort is a class act! The view from the balcony over the water garden and the ski slopes beyond is outstanding, and you can always find a hot tub to enjoy all on your own. This resort makes you feel at home, and I definitely plan to return.

Arriving the week before ski season, not too many rooms were occupied. Nice but cozy (small) room. Basically two hotel rooms converted into a "living" area, and bedroom divided by bath. Surroundings are very nice with nature trail nearby for nice walks (if the bears are not out). The ski resort area is worth touring even if you are not skiing. High camp offers a good history of the area including times prior to the Olympics, the Olympics, and more. The inn offers VHS rentals, a decent selections of books and games are also available. We enjoyed our trip and would consider returning...
