i booked the accommodations through my mother's RCI Timeshare Exchange so my options were kind of limited, but the value was great.
all the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in till check out. the suite we had was nothing too fancy but it definitely did the job. the bed was smaller than my queen size at home, but it was fine for valentine's day week. :)
with the entrance to the suite right at the bedroom, i thought that it might get loud with people walking in the hall outside, but we never woke up to that... and actually slept for a solid 8-hours (min.) every night!
yes, the decor is a bit dated, but it was to be expected since the place was built for the 1960s olympics and renovated in the 80s. it was kind of kitschy, down to the plastic wine glasses, but i liked it!
there are 5 hot tubs on the premises, and we used one almost every day after snowboarding for hours. the water was piping hot everyday, except for the last day. we played video games for FREE at their rec room - and my boyfriend dreamt of shooting aliens that night thanks to several free rounds of Area 51, haha.
the shuttle to squaw village is a quick 2-min ride, and the drivers are all polite and will wait for you. with such close proximity to the mountain, we never had to wait long for a shuttle in either direction.
with the 8ft of snow that dumped on us while we were there, we'd love to come back and see some sun!!
