We go to the Farm House very often. Its old bar is always welcoming and the dinner rooms , though ordinary, display good artwork. The food is good, comfortable and abundant. The service is usually friendly. My favorite side dish is their onion strings, they are just perfect. If you want a nice dinner, without frills, go and enjoy! Reserve on week-end, because the place is packed!

Stopped here on the way to Point Reyes. Loved the restaurant ambiance--kind of rustic Californian if you will. It was just about lunch time, place was not too busy, so I can't judge what it would be like on a busy day. Waitress was great, very attentive and we got what we needed. Food was fantastic; very friendly atmosphere. Seems lots of folks stop in before or after hiking. Got the special of the day--it was very good and it was plenty for lunch. As for the price, I think the special was $15 and included a good soup and dessert--the dessert was fabulous. Pricing was within the range of what you would expect to pay when on vacation.

We stayed at the lodge next door and were tired after a long hike, so walked next door to the Farmhouse restaurant. We thought the food would be rather average, but found it fantastic! We both had the bourbon pecan chicken, my friend had halibut, and the other had the prime rib. We all raved about the food. They were full so we ate in the bar area...comfortable, but we can't comment on the atmosphere in the regular part of the restaurant. We'd all recommend this restaurant for a great dinner, as there aren't a lot of choices in the Pt Reyes area.

After hiking and driving up US1 we were delighted to find this place. The historic building is casual and comfortable, the staff pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. I had the cioppino (29), a generous bowl filled with crab claw, shrimp, mussels, clams, and several types of fish in a spicy broth. My wife had the pot roast (23) served with seasonal vegetables and fingerling potatoes. Rodney Strong pinot noir (9) and Charbay cab (13) complimented our meals nicely. We shared a mixed half-dozen oysters on the half, perfectly fresh, as an appetizer. All though not rising to the level of fine dining, we found the friendly and casual drop-in atmosphere to be utterly charming and well worth the price. Thanks to our server Stacey for taking such good care of us!

Great location and great to stop in after a hike in Point Reyes. The food is average- stick with burgers and what-not. The crab cakes were average and $13 for two seemed a bit pricy. The kicker for me was ordering a half bottle of Shramsberg - which was great. Got the bill and saw that a half bottle was $45. Wish I would have been given a heads up when the barkeep recommended this.
