“Better than ever”

We came with a group that has been coming to Ojai Valley Inn for several years. It is a fabulous resort. It has a quiet and private feeling, even when it is full. We stayed in a suite at the far end of the property and while we prefer to be closer in, the scenery from our room was beautiful and peaceful, and the walk really not that bad--and the staff on golf carts are always driving by offering a ride. The meeting rooms and outdoor areas are well suited for events like ours. The spa pool is quiet and the spa services outstanding. We always walk into Ojai on the walking path when we are here. They have bikes to rent and the golf is amazing. The food at the Oak Grill and Maravilla is excellent too. We will always look for a reason to return to Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

Room Tip: With the remodel the suites and "better" rooms are closer to the spa but far from the main...

Amazing resort. Every visit has been wonderful. It is such a peaceful place, it feels much farther than a short drive from LA, great getaway destination. Best spa, gorgeous rooms, nice pools, Grounds and original buildings are lovely. Service is outstanding. It sounds crazy, but I get the best sleep here, the energy is so relaxed it truly makes guests feel they are living leisurely! 5 stars!

Room Tip: Fireplace rooms are larger and if you go in winter it's so nice to sit by the fire!

We stayed on a Friday and a Saturday night for a wedding. Had two rooms for my family of four. Normal price for those two rooms with taxes and resort fees would have been $2000 for the two night stay, but because of the very generous father of the bride, it was only $500. If we would have chosen to go to the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning before we left, it would have cost $272. A frozen drink by the pool....$12.90. A hot dog and chocolate chip cookie after golf....$25. Just need to let those that are considering this place know what the costs will be.

Now, having said that, this place is amazing. If it were in my means to take my family there once a year, I would do it. They bend over backwards to help you with every aspect of your trip. I need to point out a couple of people that stood out for me. First, Andrew was one of our first contacts as he helped us load up all of our things and took us to our room. He took us on a tour of the grounds, and explained everything we would need to know. He did a great job of setting the tone. Also, James in the adult pool area was a very nice young man. Super friendly and wanted to do anything in his power to make us as comfortable as possible sitting around the pool.

The grounds themselves are amazing, and the rooms are recently renovated and very nice as well as very roomy. We had a balcony that you could put 15 - 20 people on comfortably and it had an amazing view of the whole valley.

The wedding we attended was very well put together. Not sure if that was a "normal" wedding or not for this facility, but it was very well done.

We had never been to Ojai before, and in our breif stay, we found it to be a very nice little out of the way town. It was a very quick drive to the ocean (maybe 20 minutes to Ventura) and there are lots of cool little shops and things in town.

To sum it up, if spending $3000+ for lodging, meals, spa facilities, golf, and drinks for a two night getaway for your family is in your budget, then do it. You will be pampered, treated like royalty, and will have a very nicely renovated room to relax in. It is a first class facility.

I love Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. I first came here about 6 years ago and I try to escape here as often as I can. I've been here for a spa and resort getaway with my girlfriends several times and I have made them fans of this place as well. The service here is always top-notch, the scenery is stunning and the rooms and beds are alway clean and comfortable.

The spa service is fantastic and I love getting treatments here. Granted the pricing is high overall here but it's totally worth splurging and if you end of finding a great deal, take it, it's so worth it.

I just love that this sanctuary is located so close to LA and when you get there it's as if you're miles and miles away. It's so relaxing and the Ojai as a town, is gorgeous, quaint and is always a fun and enjoyable place to escape to.

I'll be back for sure. :)

A stunningly beautiful property and the best service I have ever received at a 4 or 5 star hotel - all including the manager, restaurant managers, wait staff, golf personnel. The rooms are big and spacious with lovely balcony and chairs - heavenly beds - large bathroom. I have never experienced such a well-run and service oriented resort experience. If you like spa treatments and golf, this is the place for you. The restaurants are all excellent - good variety. Overall, It is very expensive but worth it!!

Stunning grounds- great rooms, decent food- romantic setting- at a price. If money is no object- go! Eat at all their restaurants, golf on their great golf course and get some awesome spa treatments. Check in is OK- nice small lobby. Grounds are big and some can be very close to or very far from spa- so if you are using the spa a lot- get a room closer to it.

One of the most relaxing atmospheres i've been around.

mission style design, arches, brick, native american and spanish tiles, big open areas reminiscent of hacienda living, fire pits.

the rooms are spacious and quiet, big bath tubs some connected tot he living room with views of the the mountains.

idid yoga two mornings, followed by excellent breakfast smoothies at Café Verde near the gym spa area. excellent choices.

The spa was excellent aswell, a massage is a must.

i'm a pub type of person so spent most evenings/dinner time at Jimmy's Pub, where i was able to eat and get some work done a couple nights. excellent menu, great takes on the standard drinks as well as specialty drinks.

what about kids?¿ we took our daughter and had more then enough options for her. Maravilla restaurant had basics for her. there is a family pool so the kids can have more space. they have a little plaza with exotic birds that like to interact and sing with the kids. definitely good for kids.... but traveled with the mrs solo in the past and was absolutley relaxing.

great setting.... the ojai pink moment is a must, happens at sunset every day, the surroundings change to this peachy pink for a few minutes..... removes your mind from what ever distraction or worry it might be involved in.

a must.
