“great place to stay for the price”

No complaints. I do wish the bikes they offer were free instead of a rental charge. Or at least a small fee. For the 3 of us it would have been cheaper to buy 3 cheap bikes at a garage sale. Capri offers free bikes but then you have to put up with the rude guy named Chris, which I won't. Had a great time and will use this hotel next time I visit.

Had a great time at Casa Ojai Inn! We loved the continental breakfast they have every morning. Didn't have time to use the pool and spa but it looked inviting. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

Green Features: Had a wonderful time at Casa Ojai Inn. We were only there one night and we didn't have time to use the spa but it looked good. We are definitely coming back to stay longer. We loved the continental breakfast they have every morning. All in all it was a great experience.

We had a great stay - on a quick getaway from LA - it was perfect for a one night escape. Room was spacious and very clean - something that we always look for as we travel with a child who likes to play on the floor and furniture. Nice to see all the water and energy conservation efforts as well. Staff at desk and housekeepers were very friendly. We'll be back!

Room Tip: 2nd floor/corner with more light and windows

Any time of year is perfect to visit Ojai and this place provides exceptional value. The summers may be a little hot, but there is a pool and plenty of shade for long walks or bicycle rides from all the tree lined streets and trails. Not to mention the highlight of our weekend, the pilgrimage to The Ranch House restaurant! This place never disappoints. The Casa Ojai reflects the personality of Ojai, very laid back and friendly. The rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable. I've seen a few complaints from other reviews and we have never experienced any of these things coming here every year for a long time including when it used to be a Best Western. Is it a 5 star resort? No! But the staff and management do an excellent job and the rooms (our room was comparable to a Courtyard by Marriott) are very nice considering the price.

Room Tip: King suites are very nice!

It was our first trip to Ojai and we review many properties and found them to be extremely expensive, so we were concerned that at such a reasonable price we might be in trouble. But not to worry. It was a very nice property. The room was even much nicer than you might imagine from the outside appearance, which was not really bad, but just a little run down. Even more inviting was the pool area with nice lounge furniture. We were afraid that the free continental breakfast might be skimpy given some of the reviews, but we found it to have a nice variety of items. The best of all was the wonderful service at check in. The hostess was very nice and as we were discussing our interest in hiking she overheard and offered to lend us their copy of hiking in the area. Nice touch! A very welcoming place and a good value.

Spent a very nice New Year at the Casa Ojai a couple of years ago and decided to return for a weekend. The hotel is niceley refurbished, the rooms spacious, breakfast sufficient. Even if the hotel is just at the 'end'of Ojai, it's a nice walk after good meals! The front desk is a very welcoming start to a -again- really nice weekend in a wonderful place! We will be back!

Room clean. Heater/AC non-op. Water pressure very low. Spa warm, pool freezing. Free continental breakfast not very good. Construction early Sunday morning! Good price $150/night. Dogs allowed. Front porch lights can't be turned off.

Green Features: I didn't see any. So how can I comment on them?

We would like to start by thanking you for your feedback and we apologize for the construction, our contractor was to start after check out hours and pulled the trigger a couple of hours early. We are pet friendly and do have specific rooms where we allow dogs since many of our guest travel with their dogs. I would like to talk with you personally so we can follow up on the heater that you had trouble with, our system is not reporting a non-op unit. We did just finish remodeling our pool and spa area in the hopes of creating a more inviting area for our guests to be able to relax and enjoy the views, however our pool is not heated during the winter months. The front porch light, is a life safety issue for our guests and must be lit when it is dark. I really do appreciate all the feedback and I hope you allow us a chance to serve you again in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly. jim@ojainow.com
