I decided to treat my daughter to a few nights in this quiet place to rest from a year of teaching in a stressful situation. So we packed up a few good books, an I-pad, and comfortable hiking clothes and took the Eucalyptus room in this property. The price was great for mid-week ($135/ night). The property is situated on top of a hill and is spread out with one main building a few cabins in various corners. Some of the rooms come with their own private patios (ours did). There are no TVs or phones, very basic and clean accommodations. The breakfast is included in the room price. They serve fresh cut up fruit salad, bagels and cream cheese, a variety bread basket, organic jams, scones, organic coffees and juices. You can have your breakfast outdoors watching a spectacular mountain scenery--very peaceful. They do have free Wi-Fi; so we were able to watch a Netflix movie on my I-pad one night. They are very helpful in the office as to giving you a list of eateries and local hikes and attractions. Excellent stay. I will return.

Room Tip: Stay in a room away from the Main Building! More secluded.

This is not a fancy place, but if we're ever back in Ojai this is exactly where we'll stay. The staff and fellow retreaters are very friendly. It feels like a home away from home. The room was very clean. The breakfast stood-out as fantastic. It's not too close to town, but that didn't bother us.

My wife and I stayed here one night in July 2013 as we drove down to L.A. We had never been to Ojai, and the Ojai Retreat was a comfortable, affordable, relaxing and beautiful place to stay. We can't compare it to other Ojai places, but we enjoyed it incredibly. There are only a handful of rooms, so we felt well taken care of. A great breakfast, with enjoyable views of the mountains from the garden. A short drive to "downtown" Ojai, so those who want to walk out their door and see the town will want to stay somewhere else. But the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the breakfast was filling. The grounds are beautiful, with amazing views. If we go back to Ojai, we will definitely stay here again.

My mom and I were looking for a relaxing getaway for 2 nights and we found just that place!!!
The Ojai Retreat is sooooo quaint and quiet and a very relaxing place to get away.
The views of the mountains are breathtaking.
The breakfast in the morning was AMAZING.
Healthy and delcious and complimentary!!!!
This place is a jewel. They even offer a yoga class in the mornings!
Can't wait to come back!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed next to the meeting room and it was extremely quiet and lovely. Nice having a refrigerator too!

I was looking for a special to stay with my 91 year old mother in law and 87 year old mom, and this is truly THE place to go. Up easy hill, this retreat offers a special treat of adorable and comfy accommodations (we stayed in the Oak and Eucalyptus Rooms, the former of which has an amazing view of the valley). The rooms (which are in a little cottage) have a fridge and table and 2 chairs and NO television...adding to the retreat feeling. Breakfast was great, both in taste and ambience...overlooking the valley.

This place is very special...at a great price!

Room Tip: Ask for one with a view of the valley!
