I've dined at the Oak Grill at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa probably ten times in the past 10 years, always for lunch. There's no other restaurant in Ojai where you can dine alfresco, overlooking a beautiful golf course spotted with majestic oaks, enormous eucalyptus, and acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Stunningly beautiful. I only wish the food impressed me as much as the setting. Unfortunately, the food is nothing special and a bit overpriced.

The quality of food seems to have declined over the years. I almost always order their equivalent of a club sandwich (which they call a BLT&A). The menu describes the sandwich as having "sliced turkey", but nowadays they really only give you a couple paper thin pieces of processed, packaged lunch meat. At $18 you should get genuine sliced turkey on your sandwich -- just as their menu implies.

On a nice day, the Oak Grill is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the golf course view. The service is also generally friendly and accommodating. But, don't expect to be equally impressed by the quality of the food.

The service was great...the food was excellent, AND THEY ALLOW DOGS! The designated dog area is nicer than the area for just people...WE LOVED IT!

Had breakfast here while staying at the hotel. Breakfast was very accomodating with a lot of selections; either a buffet or a la carte! Service was very good and prompt, continously ensuring your cup of coffee was filled and hot.
Great place for either a quick breakfast before golf or with the family for a longer extended one, you can sit inside or outside. Loved that it is spacious and you don't feel like you are sitting on top of your neighbor

We sat outside both mornings for our breakfasts. It is pricey, but it is VERY good, and I haven't seen my kids eat so much and so well in a looongg time. The Garden Eggs Benedict were so light and the service was very good on both mornings. Sitting outside was pleasant and peaceful, we just enjoyed our relaxing mornings.

Great view with first class service, I would recommend this highly. Best meal in Ojai in our weeks vacation. Food and especially desert was to die for, worth traveling for.
