“Museum to the Arts”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Ojai has long been an “Arts Community” and this is celebrated at the Ojai Valley Museum. The museum is not large but modestly priced. There are three main areas, the front yard which is a sculpture garden, the main space which is a former Catholic church with historic exhibits, and a side space with art by local artists. Three world famous potters made their home and ceramics in Ojai and Mr. Libby, of Libby Glass, made his winter home in Ojai. Exhibits about these four artists are in the historic section along with other exhibits on Ojai history. The former alter space is a diorama of local wildlife and turn around an view the original stain glass over the door. The museum is on the main street through town, a block from the center of town, and easy to find. Ojai is about 20 minutes from Ventura.
