We always eat at beach Break Cafe on the drive from San Diego to LA: you can have breakfast at any time but the lunches are spectacular too- huge bowls of soup, the fresh, spicy fish tacos, the fabulous sandwiches. You can easily see the workers in the kitchen chopping fresh ingredients and they are generous with the avocadoes and the yummy applewood smoked bacon: Gary and Zell Dwelley are sticklers for quality. Don't miss the fresh tangerine juice, if available, and ALWAYS save room for Zell's coffeecake; pure and simple, the way coffeecake is supposed to be. Our family with 3 teengers and 2 parents orders 3 or 4 plates of food and we still can't finish it all!
