Owner description: Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

tISEEM It seems that all of the reviews have rated this pier excellent. No one has mentioned the amphitheater right at the start of the pier. It has entertainment almost on a contininuring basis...either informally or planned. Also parking across the street and it used to be free. also for a very small fee a golf cart will drive you to the end of the pier.

Huge burger! Great service and atmosphere. Milkshakes came with the extra cup which rocks. Beautiful view too

Never a dull moment and where else can you fish without a permit and see a pelican posing for a picture or was he waiting for me to throw him a fish? Other than that pretty cool place to hang out but not a must see can see all up and down the coastline and not too crowded during the week..weekends are another story but definitely changes the character of the Pier. Enjoy..

Nice long wooden pier. Midway down you have a nice shop with some local gifts and at the very end you have a Ruby's Diner, chance to get a little food with a nice view. You will see plenty of people fishing and also catch a chance at seeing some great wild life from the air or sea

We walked there sound 4:30pm, and caught an artist doing some amazing work with the sand. Then ate dinner at Ruby's at the end of the pier. On the way back we watched the sunset over the water while surfers rode the waves in, then grabbed a souvenir from the little bait shop in the middle of the pier. It was a perfect evening and it really made me miss living here!
