“Great variety of fish tacos and other stuff”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

The walk-up restaurant is located on the shore under the Oceanside pier. Here
we had some of the best seafood tacos in a long time. On the first visit our group shared the large order size of cod, scallop and shrimp tacos. All the selections were good but our favorite were the scallop tacos. A day later we came back for their fish and chip, and shrimp plates. Both were also very good.

“The Tin Fish”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

We have eaten at this seafood restaurant many times. All of the family love returning here. The prices are sort of reasonable. However, they do have kid plates. We buy the fish and chips plate with the coleslaw and split it with a kid. I'm not much of a firies kind of person so I ask for sub with coleslaw.

Oysters were perfect and briney on the half shell. All of the food has been perfectly prepared so far. My husband loves the halibut, so do I. The cod is great, as is everything else. They do have burgers for the stalwart meat lovers. We sit out and watch the parade pass by, the surf and the surfers. The bike riders and pedestrians are fine watching. And, we can bring the dog!

Did I say we all love this place!?

“Can't Wait to Return”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We happened upon Tin Fish under the Pier and decided on their breakfast tortillas. Amazing salsa, fresh chorizo, perfect eggs and flaky wrap was filling and delicious. We have plans to return for their famous fish tacos soon. Price was reasonable - two breakfasts with coffee for less than $15 and the patio offers views of the ocean and a people watching vantage point par excellence.

“Fish Food”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

The Tin Fish in Oceanside cooks up delicious fish tacos with a crunchy & colorful coleslaw. The lightly fried cod is placed in a soft taco laced with a creamy white hot sauce. I added the coleslaw to the taco & it was over the top! Two large tacos (I shared with my husband) with coleslaw was $9.99, a bargain at best. The Tin Fish is tucked in a little corner under the Oceanside pier. Outside tables & chairs are provided but take your food, walk a few steps to the beach, sit & enjoy. This little place is not to be missed.

“Great Fish n Chips under the Pier”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 via mobile

So we came to Oceanside on the Coaster train from San Diego to see the Pier; there really is nothing else much to do in Oceanside. However, after hiring a double surrey push bike, and cycling the mile or two up and down the beach front the great fish and chips here were very welcome. Portions are a good size and the menu is very extensive. Prices are reasonable. Service is quick and with a smile. Fish was lovely and moist. Chips were good too. Thank you
