“Good Breakfast place”

Good place for many breakfast choices. Omelettes are their specialty. I don't believe they are open for lunch. Be sure to check.

“Nice upgrade to the local breakfast dining scene.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2012

The Broken Yolk restaurant that recently opened on Vista Way, in Oceanside, is a very nice addition to the North County casual dining scene. Broken Yolk took over an existing building that had been a buffet, then a seafood restaurant, then vacant for many years. Decor inside is nice and airy and the room is large enough so yhou don't feel like the other diners are right on top of you. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the California Breakfast Burrito, loved it. My wife had the Mom's Omelet, she thought it was kind of bland so added a lot of salsa. In the Broken Yolk's defense, the Mom's Omelet is part of their healthy weight watcher fare and did not include that essential omelet ingredient, Cheese.

I would recommend this Broken Yolk location to anyone interested in a tasty breakfast or lunch.
