It is better in the winter and spring. Gets a bit hot and dry in the summer and there is not much shade. There is not a lot a view to the pond because the reeds block it. The camp site is ok, a few nice spots. It is small and is quite full year round so book ahead.
There are nicer campgrounds in the local mountains but this one is convenient. Particularly if you are a poor planner and need to run to the store.
