We had such fun driving along the beach front, experiencing the beach in a whole new way! My husband was thrilled to have the freedom to drive along the surf on a beautiful day.

Great beach for boogie boarding and making sand castles. Our kids loved it here. Sunny and 70 degrees in January. Lots of touristy shops for the kids.

The husband and we do in the area looking at the Pismo Beach Club RV sites and rental which is a 1000 yards from the beach. The beach is nice. Parts of the beach you can drive your vehicles on, but a word of warning a lot of vehicles get stuck that are not four wheel drive. Just before the entering the beach on Pier Avenue there a lot of dune vehicles for rent. Looks like a lot of fun next trip down we are going to try it.

There are public restrooms by the parking lot right before entering the beach area. There is the Pismo SB Campgrounds right of Pier Avenue also. Places to eat within walking distance.

We liked the area so we purchased a membership in the Pismo Beach Club. If you would like information on the Club feel free to email me.

We visited this beach purely so that my husband could drive on it - a lifelong ambition apparently! The beach was very well maintained, and it seems to be one of the few that you can camp on, and have small campfires, which many people were doing. Parts of the beach were closed for protected birds which is great to see.
