The two formed a partnership and co-founded Silver Oak Cellars in 1972 with the bold vision of producing only Cabernet Sauvignon. We loved our tour and tasting at Silver Oak. Kolea was our host and she was amazing. Their wines are well known and wonderful.

“Pricey tasting, average experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

With all the wineries and tastings to choose from, I was disappointed in the experience at Silver Oak. We have had the wines before and really enjoyed them, so this was even more of a disappointment. The reception was lukewarm, unlike so many others, and there is nothing unique about the setting or the tasting room. The souvenirs are VERY expensive, comparatively. We visited about 15 wineries on this trip and this one ranks in the bottom third, in my estimation. You do get to keep the wine glass, like some of the other places, so that takes the sting out of the tasting price a bit.

“Twomey & Silver Oak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

We did the Twomey & Silver Oak experience tasting. The tasting room was noisy; but then our server took us on a tour of the facility which was quite interesting. We got away from the noise & learned a lot about the history of the winery & Napa. The cabs we tasted were fabulous & not overly pricey (for Napa). The pinots from Twomey were disappointing for my palate, but certainly others might enjoy them. Can't say enough about the ambiance of the winery!

“This is a nice wine tasting location, with good wine and free wine glass!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

The wine at Silver Oak is very good. There is a nice, while subdued wine tasting, with free bread sticks to clean your pallet. Then they let you keep your wine glass (the only place that did out of the places we toured). The owners private cellar is beautiful! I would recommend a quick stop here!

“Not one to miss”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

We visit the Napa Valley each year, usually in late October when the crowds are gone and the weather is cool. Although we visit at least one new winery each year, we always stop at the Silver Oak tasting room and purchase a bottle or two. Napa Valley at its best.
