The food is absolutely delicious. It's a cozy place to be, as their motto says. I like the place better when they had the original owners. They really reached out to the customers inspiring us to come back and we did. As soon as the business was sold, the food remained very good, but the customer service suffered; it's often slow.

As a vegetarian, Ethiopian cuisine offers very tasty choices. From the outside Cafe Eritrea d'Afrique does appear to be anything special. Once you walk inside your dining experience transforms you onto another continent. (Don't miss the story of the owner printed on the menue)

We were seated in the comfortable dining area. We started with a refreshing glass of their lemonade, then it was onto the Vegetarian Combo, a combination of seven hearty and gourmet dishes served with plenty of Injera (a semi sour Eritrean bread) . When the large platter was delivered to our table, my first thought was 'wow' we will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Not the case, we were able to devour the whole thing.
It was prepared fresh, flavorful and filling yet not overly stuffed. Perfect!

Each time we eaten here the service, food and experience keeps us returning, not to mention spreading the word. Give them a try, lunch or dinner.

Much more expensive than other Ethiopian places in the area and not as tasty. Despite being a bar, there are no Ethiopian beers on the menu, either.
